Steeped in rich bohemian history, North Beach still has that Beat Generation/Kerouac and Ginsberg feel, while housing some of the city’s most beloved restaurants and landmarks. Iconic San Francisco destinations Coit Tower, City Lights Bookstore and Washington Square Park all live here. Best known as San Francisco’s "Little Italy", the area has much more to offer than just pasta and pastries. Just north of the Financial District, after-work hours are spent frequenting the many pubs, bars, clubs and top-rated restaurants that line the streets. Foot traffic remains high as out-of-town visitors flood the neighborhood for some good eats, entertainment, and culture.
